Clark Cushion Tire Forklifts
Forklift Tire Specs
Since the year 1917, important tools used within industry and commercial businesses are forklifts. Throughout its history the forklift has evolved through various kinds, from a tractor with a platform attachment to a specialized high-tech machinery. Forklift tires have also evolved into particular tires, with different kinds designed to suit particular functions.
Cushion (Solid) Tires
A cushion tire is made of rubber or solid polyurethane and is suitable for indoor applications on smooth surfaces. The tread of a cushion tire is pressed or binded onto the steel ring of the tire. Cushion tires are rated for different load capacities and for ease of steering. Cushion tires are normally utilized in warehouse settings.
Pneumatic Tires
Pneumatic forklift tires are filled with foam or air. They are available in two types: radial or bias. Depending upon the use, they come with various sidewall protection, tread depths and weight. Foam-filled pneumatic forklift tires maintain constant pressures and are less susceptible to punctures. Pneumatic tires are usually utilized outdoors on surfaces which are uneven and rough.
Pneumatic Shaped Solid/Solid Pneumatic
Solid Pneumatic Hybrid tires combine the comfortable ride of a pneumatic tire with the puncture resistance of a solid tire. They are a good option to the outdoor pneumatic tire.
Large Rubber and Flotation Tires
Big rubber tires, that can be pneumatic, foam or solid, are used on wheel loader forklifts. These types of tires are best for loading and transporting heavy objects onto trucks or into processing machines. Large flotation pneumatic tires are suited for masted rough terrain forklifts normally used at construction locations, auto recyclers and lumberyards.
