Liebherr Construction Cranes
The Liebherr family business was started in the year 1949 by Hans Liebherr. The company initially gained fame from its mobile tower crane which was well-known for its affordability and ease of assembly. It was upon this invention that the company's foundation flourished under. Now, Liebherr has grown to become one of the top manufacturers within the field of construction machinery. The company has also gained the reputation of being the acknowledged provider of user-oriented technically innovative services and products in various fields. The company has currently become a "Group" working in each and every continent with more than 35,000 employees and more than 130 companies across the world.
The Liebherr Group has been divided into various company units in order to ensure a manageable operating size. These separate units operate independently. This set up allows the company the ability to stay in tune with global competition and be flexible to market signals. As well, having so many individual company units additionally ensures customer proximity and keeps customer service running at an optimum level.
The divisional control companies handle the operative management of the sales companies and the production for the individual product segments. The Liebherr Group now has ten different product divisions.
The holding company of the Liebherr Group is Liebherr-International AG. Liebherr-International AG is located in Bulle, Switzerland and is operating by the Liebherr family members. Currently, the family business is being managed by Dr. H.C. Isolde Liebherr and her brother Dr. H.C. Willi Liebherr in the 2nd generation. Since the year 2012, several of the active individual divisions have been represented by 3rd generation family members including: Stefanie Wohlfarth, Patricia Ruf, Jan Liebherr and Sophie Albrecht. These family members have been working together to help set up the family business' course in the future. They are staying on top of large-scale industrial projects and residential buildings all around the world.
Hans Liebherr began to build his company in 1949, within a small town called Kirchdorf within southern Germany. Kirchdorf, presently supports one of Liebherr's 20 manufacturing locations. They employ more than 1400 individuals in that particular workforce and are able to average a yearly output of around 2800 wheeled excavators. The company has enjoyed immense growth and diversity since it initially started. The Liebherr Group continues to remain really committed to implementing and engineering innovative designs.
