Carelift Zoom Boom

Carelift Zoom Boom

CareLift Equipment has been engineering and making excellent rough terrain forklifts ever since 1962. Each and every day the company strives to deliver value and help all their customers reach their goals as they know the bottom line is reliability and performance.

Boom lifts are available in 2 general kinds, the articulated boom lift and straight boom lift. These models are normally hydraulically powered. Most commonly straight booms are the ideal choice for tasks which require a high reach with no obstructions. The turntable on the machinery is capable of rotating 360 degrees with an extendable boom. This extendable boom is able to be raised vertically to below horizontal. As the operator can maneuver and steer the vehicle whilst the boom is fully extended, it is a versatile machinery. These units come in diesel, propane or gas configurations as well as 4 wheel drive and 2 wheel drive.

Articulated boom lifts are utilized for lifting cargo up and over obstacles and gain access to areas which were otherwise unaccessible. These lift units carry out tasks which straight telescopic booms cannot do. These lifts are practically like the straight boom lift in most aspects except in the ability of the boom to articulate. There are various articulation points on the boom in order to enable it to bend in a variety of different directions allowing it to move around any objects easily within the work environment.

In order to maintain stability while the boom lift is completely extended, some heavy-duty boom lifts come equipped with outriggers. The outriggers provide the operator with some extra confidence and safety. Proper training is necessary prior to utilizing boom lifts so as to ensure the jobsite, the operator and everyone working in the vicinity stays safe.

Boom lifts enable jobs that used to require a lot more man power to be carried out in a much shorter time period. These machinery have really increased productivity and have revolutionized the material handling business.
